Ice Lead Climbing Course

Dear Ice Climbers: This year the access road to our ice climbing location is damaged and will not be repaired. The additional walk to our teaching area is 4 miles each way. We are still holding ice courses, but we request that you take both the beginner and the lead ice courses in the same weekend, and plan to camp overnight on the mountain between the 2 climbing days. The beginner course can be found here.

So, you’re familiar with the joy of swinging tools, foot placements on ice, and the unforgettable “screaming barfies,” but are looking to take the next step in your climbing progression. Ice Lead Climbing Course will help the beginner ice climber tackle steeper lines and introduce ice protection systems. We will spend time helping participants become more independent climbers by honing their safety systems.

“The date I want isn’t listed.” Please visit our Custom Courses page and contact us to book a private or custom course that fits your needs.

“I don’t see any dates.” Several of our courses run infrequently. We invite you to opt for a waitlist on our courses that do not have visible dates on the course calendar. When enough people sign up for that course, we will select a course date and invite you all to register then.
