Alpine Rock Prep Course

Learn safety and efficiency techniques needed to climb 5 to 15 pitches in one day!!!!

Climbers with single-pitch leading experience, 5.8 climbing ability, and knowledge of anchoring and belay systems will gain the necessary skills to become a proficient member of a multi-pitch alpine rock climbing team.

• Belay stance management
• Route selection and planning
• Hazard evaluation
• Climbing techniques
• Multi-pitch belay stances
• Multi-pitch belay anchors
• First aid and emergency management
• Climbing topo-map reading
• Belay device selection
• Artificial protection placement and removal
• Natural protection placement and removal

After this course you will be prepared to climb routes, or in areas, such as:

Leavenworth: Prussik, Stewart, Dragontail

Washington Pass: Liberty Bell, Winter Spires

North Cascades: Eldorado, Buckner, Boston Basin routes
