Mt. Olympus

Climbing in the Olympic National Park is truly a wilderness experience!

At 7,962 feet, this 5 day experience is a true test piece for any mountaineer. During your 48 miles hike, you will pass through temperate rainforest, stands of towering old growth trees, naturally flowing rivers, and the largest glacier in the Olympics before testing your rock climbing ability on the last 300 feet!

This incredible mountaineering experience takes you into the Olympic Mountains through one of the last remaining true old growth rainforests in the continental United States. Olympic National Park is renowned for the diversity of its ecosystems. Glacier-clad peaks interspersed with extensive alpine meadows are surrounded by an extensive old
growth forest, among which is the best example of intact and protected temperate rainforest in the Pacific Northwest. Because of this, the Olympic National Park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As an intermediate 5 day climb, the ideal participant is one who has already taken our Introduction to Mountaineering Outing. One unique addition to this experience is you can bring your family along! The first 3 days are just backpacking to reach the Blue Glacier meaning your family could join you during the hiking portions of the experience!

On this Climb you can expect:

  • 5 days of backpacking/mountaineering
  • Continual movement each day up to 10 miles per day
  • Inclusive of food
  • Unmatched views on the highest peak of the Olympics!
  • All group equipment
